About Brasov Persians.
We are Ed & Mike, and we have been breeding Persians as a hobby for 12 years in the UK. We have shown and made cats up to Grand champion & Grand Premier status under the GCCF shows in the UK. We sometimes have kittens available to permanent homes. All our kittens are registered with the GCCF (UK)
The Brasov name comes from the Rumanian area of Piana Brasov not far from Transylvania, the very place of Dracula's Castle, according to Bram Stocker's novel, "Dracula".
This has no reference to our breed of Persian.
It is just a place where we have some good memories during winter breaks
skiing.
The first cat we had was a blue and white Persian van pet. She had to
be re-homed due to difficulties so she came to our loving home.
The first show we exhibited at was the Lakeland & District Cat Club first pet show in the June of 1995. After that we got the hunger for the hobby. The rest, as they say, is history.
We are members of the Lakeland & District Cat Club (UK). The club has a show each year on the third Saturday of June in Cumbria at Kendal Leisure Centre. We now both work at this show as show managers and we try our best to give the exhibits and exhibitors a pleasant time.
We strongly believe that all pet cats should be neutered at the earliest convenience to the pet.
